Meet Our Therapists

Meet the team behind Courage Counseling! Our dedicated team of licensed mental health therapists, bringing over 25 years of combined direct clinical experience, are here to support you. Alex Sprouse is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Co-founder of Courage Counseling, PLLC, where she also serves as a therapist. An Arkansas native, she graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2008 where she obtained a B.A. while double majoring in History and Classical Studies.  Inspired by her work as a Behavioral Instructor at a children's residential treatment facility, she went on to recieve her M.A. in Counseling with an emphasis in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Alex is skilled in treating mental health disorders and issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem and body image, disordered eating, and addictive behaviors.  While using a multimodal approach tailored to each individual client's needs, she specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).  She has experience with all age groups and provides individual, couple's/family, and group therapy services.

As part of her own mental health and self-care, Alex is a proud and dedicated "fur-mom" to her two dogs, Albus and Athena, and her cat Levi. A self-described fantasy/sci-fi "nerd", she also loves flowers of any kind, playing board games with family, re-watching episodes of The Office, and learning about ancient history. She often incorporates her love of arts/crafts to share the benefits of creativity and expression with her clients.

About Us

Kellie Davison, LCSW

Kellie Davison is a Licensed Certified Social Worker with the Arkansas Social Work Licensing Board.  She Grew up in Jonesboro, Arkansas and graduated from Arkansas State University with her B.A. in Sociology.  Kellie remained at Arkansas State University and gained a M.S. in Social Work in 2012 while working as an intern, case manager, and Behavioral Instructor.  With 26 years of experience working in healthcare and mental health care, in both the outpatient and inpatient settings, Kellie is a dedicated therapist that works hard to see others through their journey.

Kellie is skilled in treating mental health disorders that include anxiety disorders, Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder and OCD. She is the Co-founder and therapist for Courage Counseling, PLLC, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
 

Kellie works on her own mental health by spending time reading and becoming knowledgeable on new things. She also enjoys watching documentaries and caring for her plants. Her greatest joy is spending time with her family and pets.

Individual Therapy

FAQs

What populations do you serve?  Do you see kids?

We work with adults of all ages, couples, and families of all populations, of any gender, background, orientation, etc.

 

Yes! We see ages 6 and up, but take child or adolescent clients on a case by case basis and depending on openings in our therapists' caseloads.

What insurances do you accept?  Do you take Medicaid or Medicare?

We accept multiple insurance providers including AETNA, Ambetter, Blue Cross Blue Sheild, Cigna/Evernorth, Health Advantage, United HealthCare, CHAMPVA, and will soon be in-network with SHARP.

We do not accept traditional Medicaid/Medicare or ARkids at this time.

​How do I get started if I want to start therapy?

To schedule with us, you can message us here, email us, or call or text us at (870) 336-2937 - whatever you feel most comfortable with in taking that first step! You can also have your Primary Care Physician/Medical Provider send us a referral via fax or email.

 

A member of our team will contact you within 1 business day for your free phone consultation.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, credit/debit card payments, and Cash app payments.

We are also happy to work with you on an interest free payment plan for self-pay costs or co-pays.

What are your rates?

  • We provide free phone consultations before scheduling your first session, typically lasting 5 - 15 minutes.

  • Cost per intake assessment: $200 - $300, typically lasting 1.5 - 2 hours.

  • Cost per one hour session: $125 - $200

What if I don't have insurance or my insurance isn't in your network?

If we are not in network for your insurance, we can bill towards your out-of-network deductible at our self-pay rate.

We also offer a sliding-fee scale for self-pay clients and our therapists will gladly work with you to determine the best option for you.
